In May 2025, the Trump administration outlined its funding recommendations in the FY 2026 President's budget request. The Senate Appropriations Committee later advanced its Labor, Health and Human Services, Education, and Related Agencies (Labor-HHS) appropriations bill in a vote of 26-3 in a July 31, 2025 markup. The House Appropriations Committee also advanced its version of the Labor-HHS bill in a vote of 35-28 in a September 9, 2025 markup.

On January 19, lawmakers released a bipartisan, bicameral FY 2026 four-bill minibus package, which includes the Labor-HHS appropriations bill. The House and Senate are expected to bring the appropriations measure to the floor in the coming days ahead of the January 30 funding deadline.

Explore what the Administration, House and Senate Appropriations Committees, and minibus package are proposing for the Title VII and Title VIII programs in FY 2026.
